1. Who we are

Uprising Music Group LLC (“Uprising Music Group,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is an independent record label based in the Bronx, New York. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect information when you visit uprisingmusicgroup.com (the “Site”), fill out a form, join our email or text list, or contact us.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a form, sign up for updates, request a license, send a demo or email us, we collect what you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, the nature of your inquiry, your message and any files or links you share.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Site we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and the date and time of your visit, using cookies and similar technologies.

Information from other services. If you use a pre-save, smart-link or streaming service we link to, that service may share limited information with us (such as your email address or that you pre-saved a release) under its own privacy policy.

3. How we use your information

  • Respond to inquiries, booking requests, licensing requests and demo submissions
  • Send you news about releases, events and exclusive content when you ask to receive it
  • Operate, secure and improve the Site
  • Understand which content and campaigns are working
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service

4. Email and text messages

We send marketing emails and text messages only to people who opt in. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email. For texts, reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. See our SMS Terms for full details.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other categories in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • With service providers who help us run the label, such as our website and CRM platform (HighLevel), email provider (Google Workspace), hosting, analytics and messaging providers. They may use it only to provide services to us.
  • To comply with law, respond to legal process, or protect the rights, property or safety of Uprising Music Group, our artists or others.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

The text messaging limits in the section above apply in every case.

6. Cookies

We use cookies to keep the Site working, remember your preferences and measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the Site may not work properly without them.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, and then delete or anonymize it.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing messages, by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia, Colorado or other U.S. states, or the UK or EU), you may have additional rights under local law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

10. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live, to sign up for text messages. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International visitors

We are based in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be processed and stored in the United States.

The Site links to streaming services, social networks and other sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above shows when it last changed. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
